Title: How about the Ravens and the Cards Refs?

The refs beat the Packers and the Ravens took care of the Patriots.

But will it be the Saints and Colts at the end?

The Sleepers are the Cowboys (their defense put them in this sleeper conversation after Saturday) and the Vikings in the NFC, and the Chargers in the AFC (but it is funny calling any team that hot a sleeper).

Not that I know anything about football. . . .

Zeke Dude:

This is a baseball forum. Any football post is likely to get the rousing response yours did.

It will not be the Saints and Colts in the end. I believe it will be Chargers and Vikings.

I like the two AFC dark horses in Baltimore and New York. Both are threats this coming weekend. But I think the favorites will hold.

My semi-bold prediction is that Minnesota will be able to run the ball at will against Dallas.

New Orleans vs. Arizona is going to be a lot of fun to watch. First team to 100 will win.

I was tempted to call the Ravens a sleeper, in the way I thought Dallas might be. Defense will win it for you when you get to the sudden death nature of every game played at this stage. When the Ravens went up early, that was the precise scenario every coach wants if he has a solid defense.

Plus, if you have a running game that is definitely working, you can be happy with your quarterback, even if he throws for 43 yards, which has to be close to some kind of record for lack of advance.

The Jets have that feel about them, but I don't think it has enough horsepower in its engine to finish the job/run the table.

Defense and a running game will take you a long way, even in today's NFL. That's why I wouldn't be surprised to see either the Jets or Ravens in the AFC Championship. I think you're right though. The Jets pop gun attack isn't enough, and the Ravens are going to have a tough time getting by Indy with an injured Flacco at QB.

HA! Shows what I know.

I thought there might be an upset in the AFC, but I thought it would more likely be Baltimore.

I thought New Orleans/Arizona would be a shootout, and it was, except one team left their guns at home.

I liked Minnesota big over Dallas, but it didn't happen the way I thought.

I was on the road all day yesterday, so I only caught a little of each game on a scratchy car radio.

I missed the entire second half of the Colts game but made a prediction: If they won, it was because they scored before the half. Figured that if the Colts, with their offense faltering and the Jets just kicked a field goal, managed to will themselves into the end zone, the second half would be set up for the huge turnaround that it was.

I was just glad the vikings lost. Favre and the Vikes were classless for piling it on at the end of last week's game, and I have never particularly liked him, so I was rooting for the Saints, though probably would have wanted the Saints to will even without last week's Vikes' conduct.

Should be a fireworks display at the SB. I pick the Colts by at least 7.
