| According to Troy Renck of the Denver Post, the Rockies are interested in signing Melvin Mora as a backup infielder. The interest is mutual and has been long rumored. The right-handed hitting Mora could, if signed, occasionally spell regular Ian Stewart at third base. The 37-year-old hit .260/.321/.358 last season with just 28 extra-base hits in 484 plate appearances and should sign cheaply. |
