Title: Who's the hottest team in MLB?
Description: …get ready for it

Ta da…The Baltimore Orioles that's who. Four (4) wins in a row! No other team can say that as of this morning.

Sweeping the Nats may be one of the few positives from this year. Washington should fire its manager.

That was a nice series win, especially because they had to come back from behind in all 3 games. They did it against a very good reliever in Tyler Clippard too.

Over the last three weeks Washington has been a carbon copy of the O's; poor situational hitting and poor fundamentals in the field and on the basepaths despite pretty good pitching.

I'd add in the Red Sox sweep and Arrieta's debut for positives....so far anyway.

Digging the winning streak. At least it's something the cheer about.

Hey Jay! Good to see you again. How've you been? Done any fishing?

Hey Jack, I'm doing good. Been a bit hectic for a while. Moved to Philly, got divorced, working like a madman. Trying to fish. It's been a while though. Went with my girlfriends dad in April outside of Reading, PA. We're going to Bmore in a few weeks, then heading to Ocean City, so I'm gonna try to hook up with a little deep sea action.

When the Os won the Friday game, for the second of their four, I was driving home thinking how much more fun a win or two was. Not like there is ever any fun in a loss, but just the change in the team and how it performed.

By Saturday, when they came back from a five run deficit, it was nearly exciting.

The Os were the first team since 1971 to come back from five run deficits in two consecutive games against the same opponent and win, baby.

I want them to take Oakland on Tuesday and Wednesday so I can call in to the Oakland As post game show and not be obnoxious, but calmly make a point. After they took three of four from the Os, after losing the Sunday game (Matusz was great), the show host was talking about how sad he was the As did not sweep and how the As were such a great surprise. He did not really trash the Os but he was clearly dismissive. I was tempted to call in and remind him there are 162 games, and after the season, we should talk about how close the Os and As records would be.

Now, we are 12 games back of the As, and while the As have a huge advantage (they do not play in the beast of the east), a 12 game swing is not impossible. They are having injury issues, like we have and the true colors of that team are being flown. They would never be able to sustain their early season success and the Os could not possibly continue their charge to below mediocrity.

Like I'd really take the time to call in, but it would be fun on a junior high school impulse level.

That's where the best fun is to be had.
